6. I made the Reservation a week prior to coming to Fernley to visit my Granddaughter and Great Grandchildren and chose the Best Western because it had an indoor pool. When I inquired about the pool the evening we checked in we were told it had been down for the past two months and it will be closed until they fix the roof. That would have been nice if they had told me that when I asked about the indoor pool. My Grandchildren were very disappointed that they could not go swimming.

THE ONLY WAS I COULD GET THIS POSTED WAS THAT I HAD TO CHOOSE A STAR AND THAT STAR SHOULD BE A BLACK 5 STAR RATING BUT THAT IS NOT SHOWN ANYWHERE.

There are positives to this property, housekeeping aside. It's well-located in Fernley. Ample parking. Check in process fast and simple. The breakfast was well stocked and maintained each day. The air conditioner in the room worked well, with multiple settings and automatic fan levels that stayed on. Contrary to another recent review posted here, the TV did indeed have a huge variety of channels and worked well.

Business trip. GREAT staff! Room was clean and comfy. No issues during stay. WILL stay here again. Did not eat breakfast, so I can not comment.

I have stayed a many Best Western Hotels over the years so I thought that the accommodations would be about the same BUT I WAS SADLY MISTAKEN ON THAT ACCOUNT!!!!

5. The bed was so uncomfortable that we only stayed 2 nights out of the seven we were going to stay. We found another Hotel after the first night but were forced to stay because it was after 11:00 AM

Clean rooms and beds, although the bed was a little more firm than I prefer.. lots of towels and pillows, internet a little slow but not a huge issue. Shower ran hot and cold after a while. Check in and out was a breeze, even with a late check in. very friendly and helpful desk clerk. The price was was a bit on the high side but it was a Saturday night so.. Didn't partake of the free breakfast but the coffee was good ☺ All in all a good stay and I would stay there again.

I'd only ask that management take all of the housekeeping issues I'm referencing here and really, seriously evaluate the training and expectations of the housekeeping staff. I understand this is a Best Western in rural Nevada. Expectations aren't extremely high. But you can certainly exceed the basic expectations of an average guest by taking the time to properly clean the rooms, combined with the other things the property already has going for it, and you'll consistently get solid reviews.

One morning after checking in the night before, I woke up to find myself laying on a BIC lighter in my bed that didn't belong to me. That one I did bring to the managers attention, and the bed linens were replaced at my request.

And yet, while trying to avoid all this stuff during my stay and assuming housekeeping would get it the next day, housekeeping never cleaned any of it. Day after day, the hair stayed on the floor. The sticky stayed on the nightstand. The crumbs stayed on the table. The "tip" envelope on that table for the housekeeper, however, consistently got replaced each day. Except for the three different days during my stay that housekeeping completely skipped servicing my room all together (the do-not-disturb magnet was *not* on the door)

4. The Television had very little choices

9. I could go on and on about the problems this place has and I certainly would never stay there again nor would I ever tell anyone to stay there.

I'm hoping this gets taken seriously, the feedback gets communicated, and this property and it's team can prevent guests from having a poor experience as I did.

1. The towels were like sandpaper, I realize they get washed many times but these towels were so bad I had scratches on my skin just trying to dry off.

7. The office was horrible and that should have told us not to check in but I had given them a credit card number to hold the room and we were very tired so we went ahead and checked in. BIG MISTAKE.

I just completed a two week stay at this Best Western location - and I don't leave this review just to rip the hotel for kicks. I think it's important and imperative to a hotel's success that property management gets feedback on how to improve. Hotel staff typically don't set out to just "not care" and let guests have bad experiences. I'd like to believe this staff wants to succeed. The manager actively reviewing and responding to reviews here is a good example of that.

The central opportunity with this hotel is broken housekeeping. Twice in two weeks, I checked into a room that wasn't cleaned to extremely basic hospitality standards. The sink was dirty. The nightstand was sticky. The table was greasy and had crumbs on it. The bathroom floor around the toilet had a variety of body hair all over it that didn't belong to me. As did the tub. And not just a couple hairs. The floor was literally layered with body hair.

3. The faucet in the bathroom sink dribbled out on the hot setting. My Husband could not even shave, we had to heat water in the coffee pot so he could shave. I had to use the bathroom tub faucet just to wash my face due to the sink being unable to get warm water.

Very nice, pet friendly hotel. Had a great stay. Beds and rooms were comfortable with Microwave, coffee maker and fridge. I had a great stay.

8. The so called free breakfast was a joke. Not to mention they closed it down early on the first morning we were there. To say it was meager would be to put it mildly.

2. The shower is another story. It was broken and could only be used in one position and the water squirted everywhere but where it was supposed to squirt. Taking a shower was a joke.

This particular Best Western in Fernley, NV I cannot begin to tell you how bad this Hotel was.
